Lazy River Village’s facilities include a recently updated clubhouse that can accommodate up to 750 people for a show or meeting and seat 250 for a meal. The card room within the clubhouse can seat 100 people. The clubhouse features a restaurant-grade kitchen, a cocktail bar, a dance floor, a large stage, and a sophisticated sound and projection system, as well as two craft rooms.
Owners and their guests enjoy a large pool and hot tub with new deck furniture and umbrellas.
Our 1,800 sq. ft. woodworking shop is a prime asset and a major attraction for new owners. With 90 current members and an impressive array of tools ranging from Dremels, drill presses, a CNC Router, and a dust collection system, the woodshop is state-of-the-art. For any interested guys and gals, beginner classes are offered.
Our large fitness facility has been recently updated with new equipment.
TENNIS / PICKLEBALL COURTS
Two tennis courts are shared between our pickleball and tennis clubs, allowing for eight pickleball courts. One of the tennis courts is lighted for nighttime play. Pickleball is one of the fastest-growing sports in the country and has an avid following in Lazy River.
BILLIARDS / TABLE TENNIS
Two pool tables and two ping pong tables are located in a separate games room in the fitness building
Nine lighted shuffleboard courts with covered rest areas at each end give Lazy River a first-class shuffleboard amenity.
Lazy River has two Bocce Ball courts. Planning is underway to completely replace the courts in the next year. In their place will be two state-of-the-art courts with artificial turf surfaces.
With our location on the Myakka River, boating is at the heart of Lazy River. Our marina includes a boat launch and 38 slips .
A large storage yard provides storage space for residents’ RVs, boats, extras cars, etc. Use is on a first-come first-served basis and a small monthly storage fee is charged.
