Lazy River Couples Golf – 9 holes
Coordinators – Sharon Olmstead and John Overton. Sharon does the scheduling, while she and John handle the group’s finances and arrange the End-of-Season party.
Play is at Waterford Golf Club near Venice on Sunday afternoons. Waterford has three courses. An effort is made to have couples play with a different couple each week and to rotate courses. The idea is to meet other residents of Lazy River. The participants are mostly married couples, but “single” golfers are also welcome. A single can arrange his/her own golf couple, or the coordinator can match him/her with another single. The format is a traditional scramble with each member of the foursome contributing at least one drive.
The membership fee is $10 (used for the End-of Season party with the 9 Hole Golf Group). Green fees with a cart are $25.00, plus tax. Regardless of skill level, new golfers are welcome.
