Who are we?
We are Lazy River Village, Inc., (the “Village”) an over-55 community in North Port, Florida. Our website address is https://lazyrivervillage.org
What personal data we collect and why?
We collect personal information from our shareholders (residents). This information consists solely of publicly available personal data such as the physical address, telephone number, and email address. This information is shared, with the resident’s permission, with other residents for communication purposes.
We also collect data about homes that are for sale or rent within the Village, for the purpose of advertising that home. We retain the information only while the shareholder owns a home in the Village.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Uploaded files on our site become publicly available and no copyrights are claimed. If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading any images with location information included.

Who do we share your data with?
The Village does not share its data with anyone outside the Village.
How long do we retain your data?
For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information. We keep that information as long as the user is a resident of the Village.
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Who on our team has access?
There are three system administrators who have sufficiently high permissions to access all the data. These administrators serve at the pleasure of the Board of Directors. One of the administrators is a member of that Board.
